    Korea Electric Boat LBTS a project completion ceremony held on February 27 at the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, headquartered in South Gyeongsang Changwon. South Korea is the country after the US and Britain, the world's third Electric Boat to build land-based test site.
 
    Electric Boat LBTS construction projects designed to support high-value vessels core technology research and development of electrically driven related industries to cope with future demand for electric ships. The project is located in Changwon National Industrial Complex, planned in two phases by 2020 construction land test floor, Electric Boat building and other research facilities. South Korean president Park Kyung Ye Electric Institute, said the test site project set the drive motors, generators, diesel engines, inverters, power distribution cabinets, batteries and other related technologies.
 
    Electrically powered ship after mounting the drive system, it is difficult to disassemble the drive system and detection performance, it must be installed prior to the ship on land comprehensive test. The completion of the first electric ship will be used for land-based test site on the domestic submarine "Zhang Bao Gao --III" R & D required for the electric drive system of land comprehensive performance test. "Zhang Bao Gao --III" book launched in 2018, by 2020 there will be two into combat deployment.
 

    Korea Electric Institute aspect outlook over the next 20 years, the project will scale up to 1.484 trillion won (about 8.5 billion yuan) market in South Gyeongsang Changwon, and add 3968 jobs.
